Thorlux is working hard to minimise greenhouse gases, but your help is needed. Customers can participate by planting trees through the Thorlux Carbon Offsetting Scheme.

Think carbon

We must all plan to minimise our carbon footprint.

When designing a lighting scheme, use the most energy-efficient solution that is practical for your application.

Take advantage of daylight ingress and use presence detection with intelligent lighting controls - this will also extend luminaire life.

Users should also consider the environmental impacts of manufacturing luminaires. Thorlux operates a certified ISO 14001 manufacturing environment and offsets its CO₂e generation.

Joining the scheme

You can help compensate for your carbon footprint through the Thorlux Carbon Offsetting Scheme. Customer participation in planting trees and encouraging biodiversity with Thorlux will make the project even more successful.

Tree planting is a proven tactic for carbon offsetting. Ensuring one tree grows to maturity will sequester approximately one tonne of CO₂. One tonne of CO₂ equals approximately 7,635 kWh of electricity.
