Thorlux scores 'excellent' TM66 circularity certification

Thorlux Lighting is proud to announce its first products to receive certification under the new TM66 Circular Economy Assessment Method (CEAM). With a score of 2.5, the SkyCore family of luminaires has now been certified ‘excellent’ – the highest achievable level of circularity.
TM66 is issued by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and the Society of Light and Lighting (SLL). The document provides guidance to assess the circularity of a luminaire, including “a checklist, a method of assessing a product’s circular economy performance, and real-world examples of good practice.” TM66 is an exacting framework that demands proof of the highest standards from lighting product designers and manufacturers.
Thorlux designed the SkyCore luminaires on the principles of circularity and sustainability. Modularity, maintainability, and reduced waste were key product considerations, as well as providing high performance for many lighting solutions.
